Riverbanks Zoo & Garden Reviews

It was crowded when we went, and felt a bit pricey for what it was. The kids got bored quicker than I expected, so we didn’t end up staying as long as planned. I’m curious if other families had a better experience or if it’s usually like that.

We went to Riverbanks on a weekend and wow, it was packed. Like, lines for food, bathrooms, and even getting into some of the animal areas were way too long. It was hard to actually stop and enjoy anything because there were people constantly moving around or pushing past. I know popular places get busy, especially on weekends, but this felt overcrowded to the point where it wasn’t really enjoyable. Parking was stressful too, which didn’t help. The zoo itself is really nice, so that’s what makes it frustrating… make it make sense. We wanted a fun day out, but the crowd level kind of ruined it for us

I was feeling rushed when I got there, so I was really relieved that parking was super easy. No stress, no circling around, just parked and went in

The kids had a great time and were totally into it, which was the saving grace. But wow, the lines were absolutely brutal, like a never-ending test of patience. Still, seeing them enjoy themselves made the wait feel a little less tragic.

Went on a busy weekend fully expecting to spend half my life standing in lines, because apparently that’s just what we do for fun now. But the lines moved really fast, entry was super easy, and even the food wait wasn’t bad. Ended up being a really nice day overall

The tickets felt fair for everything we got to see, the kids were having a great time, parking was surprisingly easy, and we ended up staying way longer than we thought we would because nobody was ready to leave yet.

I had a question about my tickets, so I sent a message thinking, okay, I’ll probably hear back later or maybe get some generic reply. But they actually got back to me quickly, which was a nice surprise. And the answer was specific to what I asked, not one of those copy-paste responses that makes you feel like nobody read your message. The person helping me was friendly, got everything sorted out, and didn’t turn it into some big complicated thing. it was just good customer service, better than I was expecting.

The exhibits were great and I really enjoyed seeing everything. That said, after a while I started to feel a bit trapped, like I wasn’t totally sure where to go next or how to wrap up the visit. Still, I’m glad I went and I did love the experience overall

We had a really good day at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, and I feel like it was worth the trip. I always try to pick places that won’t be a hassle, especially when we’re spending the whole day out, and this one made that easy. The park was clean, the bathrooms were easy to find, and there was a good amount of shade and places to sit when we needed a break. The food wasn’t anything fancy, but it was perfectly fine and did the job, so I can’t really complain. Parking was simple too, which is a big deal for me because I hate starting the day stressed out. The paths were easy to walk, and overall it just felt like a smooth, comfortable visit. I’d definitely go back again

Our membership has been so worth it. Some days I’m just mentally drained and don’t have the energy to make a huge day out of it, so it’s nice that we can go for a couple hours, see some animals, walk through the gardens, and head home without feeling like we wasted a ticket. We don’t feel pressured to do everything all at once, which makes it way more enjoyable. Really good value for families.

Buying tickets was smooth. The site felt safe, there weren’t any sketchy popups, and checkout was simple enough that I never felt unsure about what I was doing. By the end, I felt relieved and comfortable with the whole purchase...

I spent the afternoon at the gardens and had a really nice time. The paths were easy to walk, the flowers looked beautiful, and the whole place felt calm even with kids running around. A couple of spots were a little busy, but nothing that took away from the visit. I’d definitely go back.

They had a great time running around the playground areas and checking out the animals, which kept them busy for most of the day. A few of the lines moved slower than I would’ve liked, and the food was definitely on the pricey side, but I kind of expected that at a place like this. Looked like the animals were calm and healthy. Had clean spaces too, which was really nice to see.

I was able to find the hours, ticket info, and maps really quickly, which made planning my visit a lot easier. I also used it on my phone while I was out, and everything worked smoothly. Definitely a helpful experience overall.

The place itself was fine, but the experience was kind of let down by how some of the staff treated us. We asked a couple of simple questions and it felt like they couldn’t be bothered to help, like we were annoying them just by being there. A few people were nice, which I appreciated, but the overall attitude made the visit feel less welcoming than I expected.

I bought my tickets on riverbanks, it was exactly how I like things to go. I picked my date, paid, and the confirmation email showed up right away. When I got to the gate, the tickets scanned with no problem at all. I really appreciated not having to deal with any hassle.

The holiday lights were really lovely, and the kids had a blast walking around and taking it all in. That said, I did leave feeling a bit misled because it wasn’t quite what I thought it was going to be based on how it was advertised. Still a fun outing overall, just wish the expectations had been a little clearer.
